Katherine Fontenot practices in the areas of Business formation, Real Estate, Estate Planning and Special Districts.
Katherine practices with understanding and compassion for her clients. She began her legal career as a judicial clerk for the Honorable J. Sterling Snowdy for the 40th Judicial District Court in Edgard, Louisiana. Her background working for Judge Snowdy in a court of general jurisdiction exposed her to many areas of law, and she applies the knowledge gained to every facet of her career. 
After her clerkship, Katherine moved into private practice and focused primarily on family law for many years before joining Folkestad Fazekas Barrick & Patolie, P.C. Her experience working on hundreds of cases enabled her to gain experience with client management, all types of motions practice, document drafting, negotiations, and litigation. Her well-rounded experience provides a unique skillset to serve her transactional clients. Katherine’s passion is meeting the needs of her client, and she strives to provide outstanding communication and legal advice each and every day. Katherine believes the most important aspects of her practice are building relationships, maintaining excellent communication, and being able to accomplish her clients’ goals.
Katherine volunteers for Metro Volunteer Lawyers assisting indigent individuals with their legal needs.
She is duly licensed in Colorado and Louisiana. Katherine is a member of the 1st Judicial District Bar Association and the Colorado Bar Association.
